Objects:This study aimed to discuss the relation between adiponectin levels and carotid artery intima-media thickness (IMT), lipid levels、nerve functional scores about the patients with acute cerebral infarction in Yanbian area Han and Korean in order to offer theoretical basis for clinical preventions and treatments of the patients with cerebral infarction.Methods:The group of disease:70cases that were acute cerebral infarction (39cases of males and31cases of females); the group of control:40cases that were normal healthy people (20cases of males and20cases of females). The serum adiponectin levels were detected with EILSA method, at a time with a same method detected the levels of triglycerides, cholesterol, HDL-C and LDL-C. Using Color Dopper analyzed the carotid artery intima-media thickness (IMT) and with NIHSS assay nerve functional scores. Therefore, confirmed the relation between the serum adiponectin levels and sex, nationality, lipid concentration, carotid artery intima-media thickness (IMT).Results:The disease groups of serum adiponectin (APN)5.22±1.57(mg/1) were significant difference (t=-6.261, P<0.01) with the control groups of serum adiponectin (APN)7.80±1.10(mg/l). Also carotid artery intima-media thickness (IMT) was sigficant difference (t=14.762, P<0.01) between the groups of disease1.00±0.21mm and the groups of control0.63±0.15mm.; The serum adiponectin (APN) of the disease groups existed negative correlation with carotid artery intima-media thickness (IMT), nerve functional scores, total cholesterol (TC), triglycerdes (TG) and low density lipoprotein, but there was significantly positive correlation with high density lipoprotein; In disease group NIHSS scores higher serum APN reduced level more apparent, severe than that of mild, moderate group reduce significantly (P<0.05), and severe group of carotid artery intima-media thickness (IMT)levels rise more apparent, a mild, moderate group increased significantly (P<0.05); The serum APN and carotid artery intima-media thickness (IMT) were not significant difference in the group of disease between Han and Korean.Conclusions:The serum adiponectin (APN) levels of acute cerebral infarction were lower than the group of normal healthy people.; The serum adiponectin (APN) of the disease groups existed negative correlation with carotid artery intima-media thickness (IMT), nerve functional scores, total cholesterol (TC), triglycerdes (TG) and low density lipoprotein, but there was significantly positive correlation with high density lipoprotein; Acute cerebral infarction with neurological impairment is heavier, adiponecctin reduce more apparent, and the carotid artery thickening of IMT more obvious; There was not s significant relation in Yanbian area between Han and Korean.
