Objective:Research Salvia miltiorrhiza and non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs nimesulide combined medication mechanisms for the effect of spinal cord injury, to compare the hormone methylprednisolone for the treatment of spinal cord injury mechanism, observation of Salvia miltiorrhiza and nimesulide combined medication on acute spinal cord injury in the rat spinal cord tissue pathological change and recovery of neurological function influence.Methods:The segmengtsT9-10of spinal cord were impact with home-made devive of Allen to set up models of spinal cord injury.32rats were randomly divided into nimesulide, methyl prednisolone and control group.A group:after SCI, gavage feeding nimesulide to rats, two times aday,100mg/kg. d-1and intraperitoneal injection salvia to rats,6ml/kg, two times a day;B groud immedidtely injects30mg/kg MPSS via the tail vein for treatment;C groud will not do anything. all rats were received in1,3,5,7,14,21-day BBB nerve motor function score. Observe the recovery of hindlimb motor function in rats,22days after the removal of spinal cord injury specimens for light microscopy and electron microscopy observation of ultrathin sections.Results:Light microscopy nimesulide group, see the organizational structure of the spinal cord is relatively clear, with occasional small cavities within the gray matter, there are more normal neurons, membrane integrity, cytoplasmic Nissl clearly visible. The hormone group and the nimesulide group situation was similar. Electron microscope, nimesulide segments of spinal cord injury in rats and axonal myelin, mitochondria, capillaries, changes in synaptic vesicles and other light than the control group, and some structure near normal repair and regeneration of nerve fibers. Nimesulide group and the hormone group than BBB score analysis of variance control group, a statistically significant difference (p<0.05).Conclusion:after spinal cord injury, the early use of nimesulide can reduce spinal inflammation, edema and myelin degeneration, reduce the generation of apoptotic cells, spinal cord injury areas to improve the organizational structure, reduce secondary damage to spinal cord injury, promote recovery of neurological function.
