The Effect Of Xiang Sha Liu Jun Zi Tang On Mast Cell In Gastric Mucosa Of Functional Dyspepsia In Spleen And Stomach Deficiency Syndrome

OBJECTIVE:To observe the number of mast cells in gastric mucosa in functional dyspepsia(FD) in Spleen and Stomach Deficiency Syndrome,and the change of mast cell in gastric moucosa after treat by xiang sha liu jun zi tang; to investigate xiang sha liu jun zi tang in the mechanism of FDoMETHODS:1.60functional dyspepsia patients and30normal were collectedo60patients were divided into two groups: Chinese medicine group and western medicine group.2.Mast cell wear stained by immunhistochemistry method mast cell numbers wear calculated by normol group before and after treatment, and to scored before and after the treatment of treatment groups according to symptom class and quantization standard.RESULTS:1.Compared to those of the control group, the numbers of mast cells in FD increased obviously(P<0.01).2.The reduced percent of mast cell after treatment was significantly greater than before treatment(P<0.01).3.Treatment groups post-treatment the number of mast cell were not statistically different(P>0.05),while the reduced percent of mast cell after treatment was not statistically different(P>0.05).4.The comparison between before and after treatment with treatment groups shows the symptom score and symptom total score were significantly reduced, and were not difference between two groups(P>0.05).CONCLUSIONS:l.Compared to those of the control group the numbers of mast cells in FD increased obviously, so mast cell play an important role in FD.2.The comparison between be-fore and after treatment with treatment groups shows the symptom score and symptom total score were significantly reduced,the number of mast cell also reduced,so that changing the n-umber of mast cell in gastric mucosa is one of the mechanism of FD.3.The number of mast c-ell in gastric mucosa can be as an index of FD in Spleen and Stomach Deficiency Syndrome.4.Using xiang sha liu jun zi tang to cure FD In Spleen and Stomach Deficiency Syndrome pa- tients was proved to have reliable therapeutic effect and not have obvious poison and side eff-ect, and can be use in clinic.
