Objective:through detection Dan purple Kangxi granules on rats with knee osteoarthritis cartilage telomerase and type Ⅱ collagen, explore the effect and the mechanism of Dan purple Kang Granule in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis of the knee.Methods:80healthy Wistar rats, weighing (250±10) g, half male and half female, as the research object of this experiment, were randomly divided a, B, C, D four groups, with20rats in each group, the a group named Dan purple Kangxi granules group, western medicine group named B the positive control group, group C naming model group, D group named blank control group. A, B, C group using a modified Hulth process modeling of the rat knee joint, the formation of osteoarthritis model, after6weeks, C D were treated with Chinese traditional medicine such as volume of distilled water, B group in the oral glucosamine infusion, group a gavage Dan purple Kangxi granules,4weeks after the intervention the naked eye observation on the knee joint shape and light microscope sections of rat, immunohistochemical examination cartilage collagen in articular cartilage, TRAP-ELISA was used to detect the telomerase activity. Results:the naked eye to see the blank group, articular cartilage surface is smooth and moist, model group of articular cartilage were local ulcerative changes, joint edge hyperplasia, western medicine group and Dan Zikang group after the model of knee cartilage of knee joint of angiogenesis. Articular cartilage collagen content of normal group than in the other3groups (P<0.05) high, Ni Kiko knee group and Western medicine group cartilage collagen content higher than the model group (P <0.05), there was no significant difference between the Ni Kiko knee group and Western medicine group (P>0.05). Ni Kiko knee group and Western medicine group cartilage telomerase activity was the blank group and the model group (P<0.05), but no significant difference between Ni Kiko group and Western medicine group cartilage of knee telomerase activity (P>0.05).Conclusion:Dan Zi Kang Granules can improve the activity of rat knee articular cartilage collagen content and telomerase, on rats with knee osteoarthritis cartilage degeneration have preventive and therapeutic effects of early and middle.
