Study On The Curative Effects Of Qiteng Decoction Combined With Triple Therapy Anti-Hp Of Western Medicine In Treating Helicobacter Pylori Infection

Purpose:The aims of this study are observing the Helicobacter pylori (Hp) eradication and curative effects of therapy of Qiteng decoction combined with triple therapy anti-Hp of western medicine. Evaluating the security of Qiteng decoction. Looking for a better therapy in eradicating Hp through the combination of traditional Chinese medicin (TCM) and western medicine.Methods:73cases of Chronic Superficial Gastritis (CSG) with Hp infection which came from Xiamen Hospital Of Traditional Chinese Medicine were Selected as the research subjects. The patients were divided into two groups randomly.37cases were selected as subjects treated by Qiteng decoction combined with triple therapy anti-Hp of western medicine for7days.36cases were selected as contrasts, treated only by triple therapy anti-Hp of western medicine and their periods of treatment were the same. At least4weeks later after therapy and without PPI for at least2weeks, every case must be taken a13C-UBT and observed the eradication rate of Hp and curative effects.Results:1. A total of73patients were enrolled into the study and70patients completed the treatment with a withdraw rate of4.10%. The treatment group loss2cases while the control group loss1case.2. After treatment,31cases were negative with Hp but4cases were positive in treatment group, and24cases were negative with Hp but11cases were positive in control group. The eradication of Hp had shown statistical difference between two groups (P<0.05).3. Comparison in each group before and after treatment:in treatment group, the symptoms such as abdominal pain, distension, poor appetite, dry mouth and bitter taste had shown very significant improvement (P<0.01), belching, acid reflux, nausea and vomiting had shown statistical improvement (P<0.05), while noisy had not shown significant improvement (P>0.05). In control group, the symptoms such as abdominal pain had shown very significant improvement (P<0.01), distension had shown statistical improvement (P<0.05), belching, acid reflux, noisy, poor appetite, dry mouth, bitter taste, nausea and vomiting had not shown significant improvement (P>0.05).4. Comparison between two groups before and after treatment:the curative effects of improving symptoms such as distension, dry mouth, bitter taste in treatment group were much better than that of control group (P<0.01), and the curative effects of improving symptoms such as abdominal pain, belching, acid reflux, poor appetite, nausea and vomiting were better than that of control group (P<0.05). While the change of noisy was not obvious in both groups (P>0.05).5. During the treatment, the treatment group showed5adverse events,2cases of diarrhea and3cases of dizziness and lack of power, each could ease within a week after treatment. The control group showed7adverse events,1case of mild abdominal pain and diarrhea,4cases of dizziness and lack of power,2cases of poor appetite and nausea, each could ease after rest or within a week after treatment. The evaluations of adverse reactions of two groups were all level2. The adverse reactions had not shown statistical difference between two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion:1. The eradication rate of Hp of Qiteng decoction combined with triple therapy anti-Hp of western medicin was higher than that of triple therapy anti-Hp of western medicin.2. The therapy of Qiteng decoction combined with triple therapy anti-Hp of western medicine in improving symptoms such as abdominal pain, distension, poor appetite, dry mouth, bitter taste, belching, acid reflux, nausea and vomiting is much better than that of triple therapy anti-Hp of western medicine.3. The therapy of Qiteng decoction combined with triple therapy anti-Hp of western medicine is safe and reliable for CSG with Hp infection.
