ObjectiveTo complete multi-slice spiral computed tomography renal artery imagingin dogs using three different concentration and doses contrast agent which isnonionic monomer contrast agent including high dose, mild moderate doseand low dose and to investigate feasibility of renal artery imaging in dogs usingusing low dose contrast agent.It is an experimental basis for application aboutlow concentration and low dose contrast agent in renal artery computedtomography imaging in clinical.MethodsThere are three different concentration(A-370mgI/ml,B-350mgI/ml,C-300mgI/ml) and three different doses(1-2.40ml/kg,2-2.02ml/kg,3-1.62ml/kg)contrast agent in the experiment so that the number of group isnine(A1-3,B1-3,C1-3) because of both only one concentration and only onedose in one group. To select six health dogs and to complete multi-slice spiralcomputed tomography renal artery imaging(eight times scanning in everygroup,72times scanning in all) according to randomized principle. Toaccomplish image post-processing with reconstruction data in workstation afterscanning.To obtain score about vascular edge and vascular branch developmentand renal parenchyma development after post-processing of original imageusing methods including volume reconstruction, maximum intensity projection, multi-planar reconstruction and curved planar reformation by two doctors whoare co-chief physician or chief physician.To measure CT value in renal arterymain bifurcation, main dorsal branch bifurcation, main ventral branchbifurcation, segmental renal artery branch bifurcation, interlobar artery branchbifurcation and to obtain mean value and the statistic analysis is completedwhen all data is obtained.Results1、 It is height consistency in grading result about edge development,branch development and renal parenchyma development in dogs renal arteryby two doctors who are co-chief physician or chief physician and kappa valueis0.781,0.773and0.783respective.2、The grading result of edge development is2.73±0.31,2.75±0.30,2.69±0.32,2.82±0.39,2.71±0.28,2.68±0.30,2.75±0.35,2.66±0.29,2.77±0.40in each group(A1、A2、A3、B1、B2、B3、C1、C2、C3); the grading result ofbranch development is3.73±0.36,3.81±0.42,3.69±0.35,3.71±0.46,3.65±0.50,3.70±0.43,3.77±0.41,3.86±0.41,3.74±0.53in each group(A1、A2、A3、B1、B2、B3、C1、C2、C3); the grading result of renal parenchymadevelopment is2.75±0.32,2.63±0.28,2.86±0.29,2.75±0.38,2.75±0.27,2.87±.031,2.63±0.51,2.63±0.42,2.75±0.50in each group(A1、A2、A3、B1、B2、B3、C1、C2、C3).There is not significant difference in multiple comparison in any twogroups(P>0.05).3、There is significant difference in multiple comparison in any two groupsabout dose(P<0.05)(A1,A2,A3;B1,B2,B3;C1,C2,C3); there is not significantdifference in multiple comparison in any two groups about concentration(P>0.05)(A1,B1,C1;A2,B2,C2;A3,B3,C3). ConclusionsThe perfect images of dogs renal artery will be obtained from multi-slicespiral computed tomography renal artery imaging with low concentration andlow dose contrast agent and it will be foundation for application in renal arteryimaging in clinical with low concentration and low dose contrast agent.
