From10different batches of Ampelopsis delavayana in Yunnan province, the researchers systematically investigated the characters, microscopy, powder characters, extracts, moisture conten、ash content, and heavy metals. By chemical ingredient analysis,19compounds were isolated from Ampelopsis delavayana, of which13compounds were identified, namely lupeol、β-carotene、β-sitosterol、tangeretin(4’,5,6,7,8-pentamethoxyflavone)、montanic acid、palmitic acid、9,12,15-octadecatrienoic acid glyceride、9-octadecene acid glyceride、salicylic acid、2,9-Dihydroxy-4,7-megastigmadien-3-one、cholest-5-en-3β-ol、catechin、daucosterol. For the first time, all these compounds were isolated from Ampelopsis delavayana, of which catechin was highly enriched. With catechin as control, the method of measuring content by TLC and HPLC was established for the first time and validation analysis indicated the method was accurate, repeatable and feasible. These research results optimized the quality control standard for, laying basis for quality control of application of in prescription.
