Rescent Term Analytic Outcome Of Porous Tantalum Implant In Combination With Ostecking For The Treatment Of Osteonecrosis Of Femoral Head About Steinberg StageⅠ And Ⅱ

Objective:to review and analyse the recent term effect on steinberg stage I and II when implanted the porous tantalum screw and plused the Osteoking for treatment of osteonecrosis of femoral head.Methods:From April2008to June2011,there are15patients (18hips) who had been treated by using porous tantalum implant in combinatian with Osteoking.10cases were male and5cases were female, lhip was steinberg stage I and17hips were stage Ⅱ.small incision at lateral side was used for core decompression in this operation.irregular grains of bone were planted into necrotic cavity and porous tantalum rod was planted.besides,Ostecking was rendered after operation and it needed six course.three months. Partial-weightbearing was asked to begin after six weeks and full-weightbearing after three months. Compared to the taking Osteoking six months and the tantalum rob implant in the document group.All patients should be follow-up regularly nine months about their X-ray,MRI and Harris.The functional improvement of hip and the level of hip were assessed.Necrotic angle was worked out.If these score is failure,we will change other treatments.Results:Totally15patients (18hips) were followed-up in the treatment group and duration time were31.5±11.6months.in the9months postoperative follow-up.the Harris score were (90.2±12.1)(p<0.05).According to the Harris hip score system.the score is higher than chinese medicines section.(71.6±10.9)(p<0.05)and it higher than document group(85.7±7.9)(p<0.05).too.The function of hip got excellent hip,good hip.medium hip and bad hip were15hips(83.3%),Ohips(0%),2hips(11.1%),1hips(6.7%) respectively.All the implantation were radiographically excellent except one hip which suffered from femoral head collapse five months after the operation.According to the observation of Chinese medicines section after11.6±1.7months.there were "excellenf" for2hips(10.0%),"good"for4hips(20.0%),"medium" for4hips(20.0%)."bad" for10hips(50.0%).All the implantation were radiographically excellent except two hips which suffered from femoral head collapse seven months and ten months respectively.About the level of hip’s function, The treatment group was better than traditional medicines section and document group.The differences which were necrotic angle and necrotic score between the treatment group and traditional medicines section were4.313and3.764respectively(p<0.05)which were record of rank and inspection Z. It have statistical significance.The survival curves of treatment group which was compared with other groups have obviously differences.(x2=98.417,p<0.05)Conclusion:it was obvious that porous tantalum screw in combination with Osteoking were used for the treatment of osteonecrosis of femoral head in steinberg stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ.besides.this methods of treatment provided a new treatment of keeping femoral head which integrated traditional and western for patients with osteonecrosis of femoral head.
