Gallbladder carcinoma is one of the most common types of cancer indigestive system. It has poor prognosis in the terminal period and earlyintervention may make difference. Thus, new methods of dignosis andtreatment are of great importance to patients. Antiangiogenesis drug isbecoming the most promising research direction. Angiogenesis, which is thebasis of tumor’s grow, invasion and metastasis, has close relationship to thedevelopment of tumor. Antiangiogenesis drugs have been put into clinicalpractice in recent years and some success has been gained. Of all the factorsrelated to antiangiogenesis, VEGF and Endostatin are of the greatestsignificance and studied most. Detecting angio-factors could be helpful inimproving the diagnostic level of gallbladder carcinoma and antiangiogenesisdrug could also carve out a new way to treat gallbladder carcinoma.Object: By measuring the concentration of VEGF and Endostatin inperipheral blood of gallbladder carcinoma patients and normal individuals, investigate the relationship between VEGF and endostatin serumconcentration and progression of carcinoma of gallbladder.Method: ELISA is used in the process of measuring the concentration ofVEGF and Endostatin in peripheral blood.56patients are included, which areall dignosed and operated in the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University.Patients are divided into different groups according to the operation methods, pathologic results, lymph metastasis and distant metastasis.30healthyindividuals with normal results in every exams are included as control group.SPSS19.0is used to analyze the data and t-test is to detect the significance ofdifference.Result:1In gallbladder carcinoma group(56cases),the average concentration of VEGF in peripheral blood is298.5±80.7pg/ml. While in the controlgroup(30cases), the average concentration of VEGF in peripheral blood is142.9±64.3pg/ml. The concentration of VEGF in gallbladder carcinomagroup is significantly higher than in control group(P<0.05).2In gallbladder carcinoma group(56cases),the average concentrationof endostain in peripheral blood is(89.9±19.6) ng/ml. While in the controlgroup (30cases), the average concentration of endostatin in peripheral blood is(35.0±9.7) ng/ml. The concentration of endostatin in gallbladder carcinomagroup is significantly higher than in control group(P<0.05).3Among patients of gallbladder carcinoma, the concentration ofperipheral blood VEGF in non-excisional group is significantly higher than inexcisional group(P<0.05). The concentration of peripheral blood endostain innon-excisional group is significantly higher than in excisional group(P<0.05).4The concentration of VEGF in patient of poorly differentiatedgallbladder carcinoma group is higher than in mid-highly differentiatedgallbladder carcinoma group(P<0.05). The concentrations of VEGF withinlymphatic metastasis group and non-lymphatic metastasis group aresignificantly different (P<0.05). The concentrations of VEGF within distantmetastasis group and non-distant metastasis group are significantly different(P<0.05). The concentrations of VEGF among patients of TNM Ⅰ, Ⅱ, ⅢandⅣ are significantly different (P<0.05).5Among patients of gallbladder carcinoma, the concentrations ofperipheral blood endostatin in patients of TNM I, Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳaresignificantly different (P<0.05). The concentrations of peripheral bloodendostatin in poorly differentiated group and mid-highly differentiated group, lymphatic metastasis group and non-lymphatic metastasis group and distantmetastasis group and non-distant metastasis group are no significant difference. Conclusion: Concentrations of VEGF and endostatin in peripheral bloodin gallbladder carcinoma patients are higher than that in control group. VEGFplays a important role in different phrases of gallbladder carcinoma.Endostatin is closely relevant to the modification of angiogenic process of tumor. Detection of serum VEGF and endostatin may have potential value indiagnosis and prognosis of carcinoma of gallbladder.
