Expression Of MMP-9in The Peripheral Blood Of Patients With ESCC And The Related Clinical Research

Objective Evaluate the expression of MMP-9in the peripheral blood of patients with ESCC and explore it’s correlation with the clinicopathologic characteristics and survival time, to find a new tumor marker which can help the clinician to diagnosis, choose treatment strategy and assess the prognosis.Methods Extract the MMP-9mRNA from peripheral blood samples and reverse transcript to cDNA, then use Real-time qPCR to evaluate its original concentration. Use the SPSS18.0to assess the correlation of experimental results and clinicopathologic characteristics.Results The positive expression rate of MMP-9in the peripheral blood of patients with ESCC is62.7%. The expression of MMP-9is positively associated with the lymph node metastasis (P=0.039), distant metastasis (P=0.019) and TNM Staging(P=0.014), the survival in patients with positive expression of MMP-9was poorer than the negative expression group (P=0.042).Conclusion The positive expression of MMP-9is correlate with the metastasis of esophageal cancer and indicate the poorer prognosis.
