Provide an objective basis forthe therapeutic effect of tong yang of Chinese medicine in thetreatment of chronic heart failure, Explore new ideas for theclinical treatment of chronic heart failure.Methods：Collection selected60cases hospitalized and diagnosed withchronic heart failure patients in the period April2011to December2012, All patients in accordance with the random number table, wererandomly divided into a treatment group of Integrative Medicine anda control group of western medicine. Treatment group on the basisof conventional western medicine, After dialectical theory ofgovernance, plus Boxintong capsule. The control group receivedconventional western medicine. Treatment4weeks. After the end of treatment were compared symptom scores efficacy, functional classeffect. Detected and compared between the two groups before andafter treatment serum brain natriuretic peptide concentration, andto detect liver function, kidney function, electrolytes,electrocardio-gram and other safety indicators. All data are used SPSS13.0statistical analysis software for analysis. All measurement datausing the mean±standard deviation（x±s）, between the two groupsusing t test, count data using x2test. Difference was statisticallysignificant at p<0.05,the difference was not statisticallysignificant at p>0.05.ResuIts1.Comparison of two sets of TCM clinical efficacy,by statisticalanalysis, difference was statistically significant(p<0.05), itshowed in the TCM syndromes,the efficacy of the treatment groupis better than the control group.2. Compare TCM symptom scores efficacy before and after treatmentin the two groups, difference was statistically significant(p<0.05); Compare TCM symptom scores efficacy after treatment betweenthe two groups, difference was statistically significant(p<0.05),it is possible believe that the efficacy of the treatment groupis better than the control group in the TCM symptoms.3.Compare heart functional class (NYHA)of the two groups aftertreatment The total effective rate of the treatment group is90%;The total effective rate of the control group is76.67%; differencewas statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusion: The treatmentgroup is better than the control group in improving heart function.4.Changes in the level of BNP before and after treatment of the two groups Compare BNP levels before and after treatment within group，difference was statistically significant(p<0.05)，this shows thatthe drop of the serum BNP levels after treatment the treatment groupcompared with the control group more significantly.5.After treatment, all patients was detected of blood, urine, liverfunction and kidney function, the results show the various testsafter treatment had no significant change. It shows that Boxintongcapsule safe.Conclusion:Boxintong capsule has a good effect in patients with chronicheart failure, safe and non-toxic side effects. Boxintong capsulecan improve the TCM clinical symptoms of patients, reduce theconcentration of serum brain natriuretic peptide. However, due tothe occurrence and development of heart failure mechanism is notyet fully elucidated, Boxintong capsule specific mechanism for thetreatment of chronic heart failure remains to be further studied.
