Objectives: By observing the intergrals of clinical symptoms and sighs,VAS and the scores of cervical vertebra joint mobility of cervical spondylosispatients before and after the treatment of the skills of Bo Xue Tong Luo, thethesis tries to explore its fuction mechanism and to provide a new idea andmethod for the clinical treatment of this disease. Methods: The thesis selected60patients of one massage clinic fromMarch2011to December2012as objects of the study. All of them met theincusion criteria, signed the informed consent and was randomly divided intotreatment group and control group,30in each group. The patients in treatmentgroup were treated by the skills of Bo Xue Tong Luo, while the patients in thecontrol group were treated by the conventional massage therapy. There wasone treatment on each patient one day and seven days was considered as acourse of treatment. Two continuous courses were required and the intervalbetween the two courses was two days. The whole experiment lasted onemonth. In the process, special persons were asigned to record the intergrals ofclinical symptoms and sighs, VAS and the scores of cervical vertebra jointmobility of cervical spondylosis patients before and after the treatment both inthe treatment group and the control group, and then to caculate the effectiverate of the two group. All the experimental data were drescribed statistically inmean±standard deviation(±s) and were analysed by the statistical softwareSPSS13.Results:1Comparision of the intergrals of clinical symptoms and sighs beforeand after treatment between the treatment group and the control group: in theequilibrium test of the the intergrals of clinical symptoms and sighs before treatment, the data of the two groups are comparable(P>0.05).①treatmentgroup: the intergral of clinical symptoms and sighs after treatment comparingto that before treatment has an apparent decline, and the difference issignificant(P<0.01).②contror group: the intergral of clinical symptoms andsighs after treatment comparing to that before treatment has an apparentdecline, and the difference is statistical significant(P<0.01or P<0.05).③comparision between the two group:the intergral of clinical symptoms andsighs after treatment in the treatment group delince more apparently than thatin the control group and the difference also has its significance(P<0.01).2Comparision of VAS of cervical spondylosis patients before and aftertreatment between the treatment group and the control group: in theequilibrium test of VAS before treatment, the data of the two groups arecomparable(P>0.05).①treatment group: the VAS after treatment comparingto that before treatment has an apparent decline, and the difference issignificant(P<0.01).②contror group: the VAS after treatment comparing tothat before treatment has an apparent decline, and the difference is statisticalsignificant(P<0.05).③comparision between the two group:the VAS aftertreatment in the treatment group delince more apparently than that in thecontrol group and the difference also has its significance(P<0.01).3Comparision of the scores of cervical vertebra joint mobility of cervicalspondylosis patients before and after treatment between the treatment groupand the control group: in the equilibrium test of VAS before treatment, the dataof the two groups are comparable(P>0.05).①treatment group: the scores ofcervical vertebra joint mobility after treatment comparing to that beforetreatment has an apparent increase, and the difference is significant(P<0.01).②contror group: the scores of cervical vertebra joint mobility after treatmentcomparing to that before treatment has an apparent increase, and the differenceis statistical significant(P<0.05).③comparision between the two group:thescores of cervical vertebra joint mobility after treatment in the treatment grouphas no statistical difference with that in the control group (P>0.05).4Comparison of the efficiency between the treatment group and the control group: the total effective rate of the treatment group is93.33%, whilethe total effective rate is66.67%in the control group. By the X~2test, X~2=5.104,P=0.024. And according to the hypothesis test of α=0.05, the treatmentgroup is superior to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:1The skills of Bo Xue Tong Luo can greatly improve the patients’intergrals of clinical symptoms and sighs.2The skills of Bo Xue Tong Luo can effectively reduce the scores ofVAS.3The skills of Bo Xue Tong Luo can magnify the angle of cervicalvertebra joint mobility.4The “Skills of Bo Xue Tong Luo” is an effective and simply-practicedtreatment to cervical spondylosis, which also has no side-effects. At the sametime, this skills can avoid the fear and iatrogenic injury to patients as that iscaused by the conventional massage which uses the methods of pulling theneck.
