Generally speaking, due to the scholars seldom deeply study the calligraphy from the perspective of art psychology, the internal study of calligraphic art lags behind. In order to better grasp the creation of calligraphic art, the internal rules and necessity of aesthetics, the thesis takes "virtuality" as a studying object, which is one side of aesthetics. The virtuality of aesthetics is deeply studied from several factors which are aroused from psychological perspective such as the relation between the features, the conceptions, the techniques and the aesthetics. Besides, it is regarded as one of necessary conditions in calligraphic creation and aesthetic sense.The thesis is divided into two parts:the chapter one makes up the first part and the chapter two to four make up the second part.Part one:With the method of semantics and historical philology, the virtuality is studied under the literature and art to find out its essential meaning and original-development. In addition, virtuality is not only made by empty and motionless, but also is made by the mutual transformation of empty and motionless. Virtuality is one of important mental factors in literature and art creation and aesthetic sense.Part two:the thesis takes the methods of historical philology, induction, analytics and enumeration to explain the necessity and specialty of virtuality mentality in the calligraphic creation. In chapter two, one conclusion was made through a lot of literature review, which is that virtuality is a necessary mental condition before the calligraphic creation, and in the process of the mentality, the content of the artistic conception is clear and concrete. In chapter three, through the relationship between the mentality of virtuality and practice of art, the thesis explains the importance of the virtuality in art creation. From the negative side of virtuality mental sense, it is verified that anxiety and nervous are harmful for calligraphic creation. In chapter four, from the perspective of the art aesthetic sense, the thesis explains that the virtuality is one of the pre-conditions for the appreciation of calligraphy.
