Military Movies and TV have been being thought highly and loved by audiences since the new century. Meanwhile, the female images have become more and more plentiful, which have brought much seeing and hearing enjoyment and shake to spectators. Female images in military Movies and TV drama are discussed in terms of their type, nature, aesthetic shaping, the reason for transmutations and the creators’ limitations. The paper concludes five parts as follows:In the Introducation part, the development and the basic features of female images in military Movies and TV drama since the fundation of the country are presented. The meaning of this study is that some new changes of female images in military Movies and TV drama are summarized.In the first chapter, the main type and nature of female images in military Movies and TV drama are systematically expounded. With the increasing of the militaty theme works, the female images become more and more rich. There exist six types:traditional femal image, intellective femal image, dedicatory female image, aggressive female image, virtuous female image and tragical female image. Meanwhile, female gender characteristics become highlight from the absence, women characters become rich from a single image, females have a variety occupation from the symbolism, women become more and more independent in loveness and feminist consciousness has become more prominent.In the second chapter, aesthetic shaping of female images in military Movies and TV drama are mainly discussed. In the military Movies and TV drama of new century, female images are shaped by setting dramatic conflicts, creating daily context, diversifing visual angle method and protraying details.In the third chapter, the reason for transmutations of female images in military Movies and TV drama in new century are analyzed.
