Zhu Xiang, a pure poet in the history of modern Chinese literature, dedicated himselfto the creation and innovation of new poetry, hoping to save people by poetry, yet his lifeends like the fallen petal "floating to the place of nowhere ". The interpretation andreflection to his tragdy attributes to a return to historical and cultural field and a quest fornew poetry creation of Zhu Xiang’s spiritual journey. This paper is intended to include ZhuXiang’s poetry and his poetic theory as the research object, which is divided into five parts:the introduction on the current academic research on Zhu Xiang in the recent decadestogether with the the meaning and methods of the selected topic; The first chapter presentsZhu Xiang himself and his poems, being combined with the social environment at that timeand his own attributes to explore the implementation his poetry opinion in the particulartimes context. The second chapter analyzes his poetry of the real artistic beauty from twoperspectives of the beauty of poetic form and the poetry emotion, especially on the analysisof the classical, folk and western poetics of wholeness, which sheds light to understandinghow he gained a ingenious fusion of classic beauty and foreign culture; The third chapterapproaches Zhu Xiang’s poetic theory through his creation career, and strengths theunderstanding of his poetry and digs into the valuable thought through the interpretation ofZhu Xiang’s poetry; The fourth chapter highlights the unique history in his contributionand influence, basically being combined with new ideas and compared Zhu Xiang’s thecontemporary poets representatives. On the basis of the above analysis, Zhu Xiang’sresearch is not only beneficial to enrich the Zhu Xiang’s research, but also reflects themainstream and value from the perspective of the construction of new poetry. As it shows,Zhu Xiang’s poems of different interest were produced in the identical national culturaltradition and atmosphere, and his poetry is an integral part of the history, so it is worthy ofour attention and continuous research.
