On The Chaoshan Folk-custom In The Thai-sino Literature Works

The current Chinese international education presents the vigorous development,and overseas Confucius College is bristly prosperity. In this context, the research ofoverseas Chinese literature is helpful for understanding the overseas Chinese spiritualworld and history of struggle, so as to promote the oversea Chinese languageeducation and Chinese culture propagation. The Thai-Sino literature is an importantpart of the Overseas Chinese literature, and it plays the important role now.The Thai-Sino literature, formed in the early nineteen twenties, also known asthe Chinese new literature, from its emergence to date, have an history of ninety years.In the course of nearly one-century development, it experienced several ups anddowns but still survives tenaciously, and presents a unique literary characteristics thatother overseas Chinese literature works cannot be compared with.Among the Thai-Sino literature writers, Chao nationality (refers to the ancestralhome for the Chaoshan area) account for the majority. Their creation in literary works,contains a strong Shan cultural charm, reflecting the features of Chaoshan culture.While the Chaoshan folk-custom is the essence of Chaoshan culture, Chaoshan folkcustoms in Chinese literature works is worth to taste and research.This paper is divided into four parts, the first part is an introduction and anoverview to this paper; second part is to describe the history of the Thai-Sinoliterature;the third part is to talk about the Thai-Sino literature writers of Chaoshannationality and the Thai-Sino literature; the fourth part is to analyze the literary works,to find out the Chaoshan folk-custom in the Thai-Sino literature. This article attemptsto learn about Chinese literature Chaoshan folk-custom in the Thai-Sino literature anddiscuss the contributions that the Thai-Sino literature culture made to the inheritanceand promotion of Chinese culture.
