Many Sino-Thai writers have such experience: though born in Thailand, theyhave accepted education in China since the childhood and then come back toThailand to start their own business after completing studies. But they bear in mindconstantly that their root is in China mainly because of their life and studies in Chinaand their Chinese descent as well. Meanwhile, having drunk the water from MenamRiver, the Sino-Thai writers do not forget that they are in Thailand now. Thus thedouble identities lead them to cherish two motherlands: Thailand and China.
