Central Asia is located in the center of Eurasia, which has very importantstrategic significance and abundant oil and natural gas resources. It is known as the"21st century energy base ". Therefore, after the post-Cold War, Central Asiainevitably becomes a new zone that the major powers compete to win. A rising India,has been regarded Central Asia as a extended neighbor on the edge of their own land,under the guidance of the world’s big dream, India also has a positive Central Asianpolicy of their own, which continuing with the changes of the situation in CentralAsia adjustment policies, of which Asia to actively participate in this "great Game".India and China are developing countries and energy needs of the country, and are aclose neighbor in Central Asia, India has always regarded China as its competitors inthe Central Asian strategy, and thus the implementation of the policy in Central Asia,India is bound to have some impact, China should be based on the adjustment of thepolicy in Central Asia, India to develop appropriate coping strategies to ensure thatChina’s strategic interests in Central Asia.To solve the above problem, the paper’s strategic interests in Central Asia toIndia as the focus, depth of background, performance and characteristics of thepost-Cold War era, India’s Central Asia policy adjustment. On this basis, furtheranalysis of the constraints and prospects of India in Central Asia policy. Moreeffective in achieving our clearer knowledge and understanding of the strategic intentof India in Central Asia, to provide more reference to the national interests ofdiplomacy in Central Asia.In this paper, the argument structure is divided into the following sections:The first part analyzes the post-Cold War strategic position in Central Asia andIndia’s interests demand ", analyzes the changes in strategic position in Central Asiaafter the end of the Cold War, India’s active involvement in the Central Asian" GreatGame "reasons. Secondly, based on India’s interests in Central Asia, it needs to start amore in-depth analysis of India’s development of post-Cold War diplomacy inCentral Asia reasons.
