In recent years, researches on the verb-object structure have been fruitful. Semanticrelations of verb-object structure have also become the concentration of grammaticalstudy. Due to the differences existing in languages, Native language learners andoverseas student’ mastery of the object-semantic type varies. Overseas students havegreat difficulties in using complex objects. Thus, how can we change this situation sothat overseas students can use complicated object of verb-object collocations freely?This paper takes the example of "eat" plus its object, and investigates domestic andinternational students from students’ acquisition and mastery of the object-semantic typeto explore the problems of object-semantic type in the field of teaching Chinese as aforeign language.Based on the precious scholars’ theory, this paper adopts survey research,comparative analysis, mathematical statistics, and semantic feature analysis, andconduct a questionnaire survey on research objects. To make students have a clear ideaof verb-object combination, grasp and skillfully apply them, this paper draw supportfrom statistics analysis, with the help of Microsoft, exploring the various relationshipsbetween verb and complex object in Chinese, and semantic differences in everyverb-object combination.
