Collocation is an important embodiment of the language skills, mastery of the form of thecollocation, the number of collocation, reflecting a person’s language level. A large number ofChinese nouns, with diverse, and the abstract classifier-nouns "invisible" and "certain space",there is a certain difficulty for the Second Language Acquisition. Academia for the abstractclassifier-nouns is not studied in-depth, especially with the study of the abstract classifier-nounsThis paper based on the large corpus of contemporary Chinese, the paper discussed theissue of noun collocation related to147abstract classifier-nouns. Both qualitative andquantitative data analyses are performed, in order to describe and analyze the characteristics andsemantic classification of the abstract noun collocation in discuss. In light of the above analysis, the paper further proposes a vocabulary with reference value, which hopefully can be a muchneeded tool in the TCFL.First, I will introduce the former research in this field and account for my targeting abstractclassifier-nouns in this study. Relevant theories and program ideas will be also illustrated in thispart. Then I will describe the overall design of this research program, including the scope of thestudy, the selected database, research methods as well as the research process. Third, Isummarize the colligation and semantic distribution of the abstract classifier-nouns in thecontemporary Chinese. After respectively analyzing the left colligation and right colligation ofthe processed data, the paper comes to conclude some rules and characteristics of suchcollocation. Particularly, the paper lays special stress on analyzing the abstract noun of "~du","~jia","~liang". These three sets of measure words are very typical: they have a large numberof collocations, and share an identical morpheme in their formation of word. It must be stressedthat the focus of this study is laid on noun-adjective collocation, noun-verb collocation andnoun-noun collocation..Forth, I will illustrate the construction and function of the vocabulary. For teaching Chinese as foreign language, the study of the measure class of modern Chinese hasits own value: the vocabulary that built on this ground, can promote the TCFL works-especially the vocabulary can used directly by teachers and students. Finally, I willmake a conclusion of this paper. In addition to the summary of the above chapters, this part willalso point out the limitation of this study program, and come up with some possible methods tomake improvement. It is expected that this study has reference value in the future research of abstract nouns,TCFL, as well as the compilation of dictionaries.
