In modern Chinese, the two grammatical units of shape based classifier and abstract noun do not have the possibility of combination in terms of semantic features, but in practical language application, which are often combined. This is an important rhetorical problem, and it can also be regarded as an “anomalous collocation”,which transcends the restrictions of the conventional semantic collocation. The purpose of this paper is to find out the collocation rule of this “anomalous collocation” and its usual style. In this paper,23 shape based classifiers are selected as research objects.According to their dimensions, they are divided into one-dimensional shape based classifiers,two-dimensional shape based classifiers and three-dimensional shape based classifiers. On the basis of previous studies, based on a large number of language materials,we use metaphor cognition to describe and analyze the collocation of all kinds of shape based classifiers and abstract nouns. In the collocation and combination of "one+ shape based classifier + abstract noun","one" is no longer a specific number, but there are signs of the circle of abstract nouns;"shape based classifier" is a sign of abstract noun space;abstract noun is the psychological and emotional words in modern Chinese, the specific part of speech, nouns, verbs and adjectives, such as "Hope" "Touch" "Pain" etc.For the convenience of research, the non representational noun components, which appear after the "one +shape based classifier",are temporarily called abstract nouns. Most of these combinations appear in strong poetry and lyrical prose. This style emphasizes thefeelings of the subject and lyricism. It often breaks the noun collocation principle and seeks the most suitable match for their emotions. This paper still needs to be improved, the collection of shape based classifiers is not comprehensive enough, and the definition of the composition behind the shape based classifiers should be further thought.
