Films released in China during Spring Festival or summer vacation achieve huge successin terms of box office. At the same time, we cannot afford to ignore the impact of Valentine’sday on box office. On the one hand,the number of films、audiences, and the box offices are ata fast rate for growth; on the other hand, The fast growth of the films does not meet theexpectation of the audience.Nowadays, scholars and professors not only scarcely concentrate on the stay of the time,Valentine’s day, but alsothey certainly do not mention the form of systemical effects on thefilms. The current investigations focused on analysis and comments of the text, or researcheson the marketing strategies of films marketing. Especially, reaction of the film marketing tothe film text, which hardly has been explained ever since.The dissertation is divided into four parts. In the first chapter, it will describe thedefinition and conception of the object to be studied, as well as the research significance.Inthe second chapter, from the genre of love film, it will analyze the basic characteristics of theromance film and the comedy romance films. In the third chapter, from the film image, it willobserve the city and people in it, showing the culture of the city and pointing out theproblems of the chinese urban films. In the fourth chapter, the research contents include thedefinition of marketing, current marketing situation on the Valentine’s day and the impact ofmarketing on the film.
