These expressions visualize the information in different perspectives on the premiseof using cities as the theme and reveal the information by various kinds of characteristic expressiontechniques which can convey actuate information and at the same time bring people distinctiveartistic temperament with unique visual enjoymentThe analysis of City Impression series is mainly of three posters, Suzhou Impression, TaiwanImpression and Wuhan Impression. Among which, Wuhan Impression has been analyzed mostcarefully. Basic on the distinction of three different cities, the article discusses the different subjectcontent of the posters because of different cultural connotations and regional features. SuzhouImpression highlight a lot in Suzhou’s antique Jiangnan minor with a combination of modernthinking so as to deliver its unique artistic sense with integrity of ancient and modern. WhileTaiwan Impression, in the other hand, attracts people’s attention by publicizing its geographicfeatures and develop the local distinctive culture. The thesis take Wuhan Impression as animportant example, divide the objects to Wuhan local life feature, regional feature, the1911Revolution and other kind themes, outlet different kind of expression approaches and visual imageson the same content. It overall analyzes ways of expression approaches, such as visual representation and creation presentation with real examples as well as excavates advantages,cultural connotation and artistic characteristic in every poster work. The visual information isdivided as three parts: text information, single bit of information and multipal information; Visualexpression is divided to basic, exaggerate, digital software technique, photographic and handcolored illustration, etc; Creation expression is divided to symbol expression, intent suggestion,deconstruction and isomorphism which are comparatively distinctive and typical expressionapproach.
