Originality is an unexhausted source to artistic life; real writer must have unique style.One of the important conditions of measuring a writer’s achievement is to see how many newliteral elements they bring which are predecessors not involved in and later generations cannottranscend. Unique and novel works with general significance always have perpetual literalvalue. Writer LI Ji-ren, hometown in Sichuan, whose achievement is elegant. During hiswriting life for more than half a century, LI Ji-ren always insists his creative attitude, takesreality as the writing basis, and uses“an advisable pencil”to lively restore regional and localverve, and life shape, mental state, and language tone, etc. from different folks at differentlevels, and presents an authentic western Sichuan for lateral generations. He is good atexploring the implicit beauty from explicit world. He has a unique novel aesthetic concept,which is also taken as his own guidance for novel, and then constructed an aesthetic novelschema filled with rich Sichuan-style characteristics. His master works“Long River Novel”(“Stagnant Water”,“Before the Storm”,“Grand Wave”, and“Riverside Scene of PureBrightness”) as art painted scroll presented the unique regional view of western Sichuan forthe readers. He relies on his artistic eyes and clever brushwork to sublimate the life, and brewthe glycol, which leaves precious treasure for China’s modern literary. Aimed at LI Ji-ren’swriting characteristics, the paper attempts to illustrate various aesthetic elements of LI Ji-ren’sworks from the perspective of“Artistic Beauty”, and systematically concerns various artisticbeauty shapes based on considerate reading the works.The introduction of the paper mainly makes an overview of current situation ofresearches on LI Ji-ren, points out the flaw and lack of current researches, and then putsforward the research direction and writing ideas from the lacks, and defines the concept of“Artistic Beauty”, which is taken as the perspective to observe LI Ji-ren’s novels, andconcentrates on his“Long River Novel”. The paper mainly distributes into three chapters.The first chapter, through analyzing the western Sichuan concerned in works, especiallythe detailed illustration of“Chengdu Space”, the author explores the space structure beautyand implicit beauty of space environment presented in LI Ji-ren’s“Long River Novel”.Owning deep traditional culture, LI Ji-ren consciously puts space thinking way of Chinesegarden culture into novels, completes the language presentation of Chengdu space, andendows inanimate material landscapes of space with life, which makes it become an erasymbol full of implied color. The method of bring the different space factor with synchronyinto diachronic chain of events has independent atheistic value of literature, which on the onehand it makes the“Chengdu Space”remarkable epic significance in the performance of acertain theme, on the other hand, it also internalizes as a cell with artistic life in LI Ji-ren’sworks.The second chapter, stated from the female image, it analyzes the unique personality ofthree representative females, explores the beauty of human nature in a particular time and area.In the trilogy, LI Ji-ren depicts a series of“Bad Women”image with enthusiasm, these marriedwomen hide lots of uneasy factors in their bodies, which impel them to enjoy the greatsatisfaction and excitement in material and spirit from extramarital affair in that closed timeand area. In that time, it is no doubt that they get the hat of“Bad Women”for their infidelity tomarriage; however, this is the beauty of such artistic image. They dare to break theimprisonment of house life like a cage, brave enough to put the leg outside, and challenge thecomplicated world outside house, they are bold in seeking the ideal life by their own ways,and have the courage to face their true heart, and show alternative beauty different from thegeneral traditional woman.The third chapter, from the perspective of language, it explains the unique aesthetic valueof LI Ji-ren’s“Long River Novel”. Through the detailed analyzing the language of works, itshows original language of LI Ji-ren’s novels. LI Ji-ren’s language has double features ofregional flavor and public interest, and you can find some regional language withSichuan-style characteristic in LI Ji-ren’s works, such as unique dialect, slang and mantra, etc.On the one hand, the language shows the regional flavor with heavy Sichuan-stylecharacteristic, on the other hand, it also bring the reading difficulty for exotic readers. In viewof the limit, LI Ji-ren spares no lots of writing, notes these words to make them not boring, instead of let readers feel the unique exotic scene with joyful mood, because the notes not onlyplay a role as a reference book, but also shorten the distance between reader and West Sichuan,at the same time, in some extent, they already has the significance of folklore, and stronginformative and interestedness.
