Generally speaking, the characters of the Chineseintellectuals basically have the following features. Firstly, they have the long-deepsuffering consciousness. Secondly, they have the intense“sense of shame”consciousness. Thirdly, they have the complexity and the contradiction in thecharacters. The three features interacted one another, and formed the specialconfessional behavior. Often they choose literature creations to complete with theascension and purification of their souls. This is the typical way to redeem themselves,that is, through the soul-taught completing themselves self-transcendence.There is a tremendous difference between Chinese and western culture. Althoughthey all involve confessional meaning in them, neither from the origin nor the finalgoal of the confession is in the same way. It mainly displays in the following aspects:1.
