Class is the basic unit of school education, and head-teacher is the organizer and leader of the class affairs. The influence from head-teacher on students is often more long-term and extensive than any other teachers. The development of modern society requires pupils to participate in various extracurricular activities to enrich the learning content, and improve their abilities in many aspects besides normal classes. Although there have been several studies concerned about head-teacher’s management style and primary school student’s extracurricular activities, which are descriptive and empirical ones, so far there has no study which link together primary school teacher’s management style with student’s positive attitude of participate in extracurricular activities in our country. So this research focused on this issue, in order to discover its’ present situation, characteristics and existing problems, as well as reveal the relationships between them through the research, and eventually put forward counter measures for education. It has an important significance in educate and lead student participate in extracurricular activities actively, and improving head-teacher’s management method and capability.The results of this study show that:(1)The "Questionnaire of High grade Primary School Student’s Reactions of the Head-teacher’s management style" and "Questionnaire of Primary School Student’s Enthusiasm to Participate in Extracurricular Activities" have good reliability and validity, which fully meet the psychometric measurement, can be used as tools of the research. The head-teacher’s management style sensed by high grade primary students scored in order of some dimensions:guidance>authoritarian>democracy. Students participate in extracurricular activities positive scored following order:creativeness>responsibility>consciousness. (2)There are significant differences among the high grade primary students, who are differ in grade, learning achievement, and the relationship with the head-teacher on their sensation of the head-teacher’s management style. The scores of fifth grade students sensed on the three dimensions of head-teacher’s management style are higher than sixth-graders; the academic record in medium and general students scored on three dimensions higher than excellent students; the cordial relationship with the head-teacher scored on students sensed on authoritarian of head-teacher’s management style is higher than that of the close, apathy, alienation relationship with the head-teacher.(3)There are significant differences among the primary school student, who are differ in area, age, learning achievement on the enthusiasm to participate in extracurricular activities. Urban primary school students consciousness score are higher than rural primary school students; sixth grade primary school students consciousness score higher than the fifth grade students; excellent academic record students score are higher than the medium and the general students on the total marks of their enthusiasm in participate in extracurricular activities and each dimensions; primary school students who keep a harmonious relationship with head-teacher got a higher score than any other students in the sense of responsibility,creativity and consiousness when they participate in extracurricular activities.(4)There is a negative correlation between the head-teacher’s arbitrary management style sensed by high grade primary school students with the consciousness of participating in extracurricular activities and total questionnaire; and there is a positive correlation between the head-teacher’s guidance and democratic management style sensed by high grade primary school students with the sense of responsible, creativity, consciousness, and total questionnaire of primary school student’s enthusiasm to participate in extracurricular activities; and the total questionary of head-teacher’s management style sensed by high grade primary school students has a significant positive correlation with the students’responsibility and creativity on participation in extracurricular activities, and there is also a significant negative correlation with consciousness of the primary school students’motivation on participation in extracurricular activities.(5) Head-teacher’s management style act as the intermediary of high grade primary school student’s enthusiasm of participate in extracurricular activities, who are differ in gender, class and learning achievement.
