IntroductionThe mentation of parents of autistic children is a significant factor in the intervention and rehabilitation of autistic children while little researches have paid attention to this area. The purpose of this study is classifying the statuses of intervention of autistic children’s parents and analyzing the relationship among the status of intervention, subjective well-being and appraisal to autistic children’s rehabilitation of parents.MethodThis study uses the Interventional Status Questionnaire for Parents of Autistic Children (SQFPAC) which complied by the author, Satisfaction with Life Scal (SWLS) and the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS), and the appraisal program to the rehabilitation of autistic children.100participants (45males and55femals) compeleted the questionnaires. The major statistical analysis methods are correlation analysis, ANOVA, hierarchical regression analyzes.Results1. Mothers display more efforts than fathers in their intervention statuses.2. The negative emotion in subjective well-being, appraisals to children’s emotions, behaviors, and ability of daily living are significantly different among parents with different educational backgrounds.3. On the basis of level of rationality and effort and the stability of emotion, the interventional status can be classified into4types which are respectively named Emotion Type, Helpless Type, Reality Type and Order Type.4types of parents are significantly different in subjective well-being and interventional status.4. Both interventional status and subjective well-being can forecast the appraisal to the rehabilitation of autistic children significantly.5. The subjective well-being of parents plays a fully intermediary role in their interventional status affecting appraisal to the rehabilitation of autistic children.ConclusionThe interventional statuses of autistic children’s parents are different, which can be classified into4types, and this diversity may lead to different levels of their subjective well-being, and then affect their appraisals to the rehabilitation of autistic children.
