Realism painting really into China can be traced back to the late Qing Dynasty,the desire of the prevailing social environment on advanced Western science andculture, realism oil painting in China to find the growth of the soil. The past century,with the Chinese artists to the West to study painting, oil painting back to China,especially after the founding of New China, the Chinese oil paintings with thedevelopment of Chinese society, the form of nationalization of language itself, andgradually out of the one to insist on the reality ’the creation of roads, realistic style isstill the mainstream of Chinese painting style.Since the reform and opening up the various aspects of Chinese society haveundergone tremendous changes in the economic, political, and cultural influence ofmultiple factors to the 1990s, China’s realism painting gradually from traditionalrealism into a new realism stage.Chinese contemporary realist painting to produce a certain inevitability, first ofall, from the time point of view it is produced in Chinese society in transition, thisstage-specific social atmosphere and cultural patterns that lead and catalyze thegeneration. Secondly, the Art Institute of realistic mode of education and the publicappreciation for the tendency of realist painting, determine the realism has been themainstream of Chinese painting. Again, after the reform and opening up as the door’sopen, the influx of modern Western art thinking of Chinese painting had a greatimpact. While Chinese contemporary realist painting has the characteristics oftraditional realism, oil painting, is evolved on its basis. However, because of the roleof these factors, both in terms of performance, the picture language and aestheticcharacteristics are different.Contemporary Chinese New Realism oil painting in the process of development,gradually emerging from the shackles of traditional realism, oil painting, formed theirown unique style, and style, to establish its status and role.
