The etiquette system of central China is greatly destroyed after rough and tumble fights during the five Hus and the sixteen states period and new etiquette order wouldn’t establish yet, while inheriting from the princess system since Han and Wei, the princess conferral system of this time presents some new traits. As the representative of aristocratic women in this period, the marriages of the Northern Dynasty princesses permeate strong political nature all the way which we can know through the standard of selection and commendation of emperor’s-son-in-law and their marriage form.
