The Effect Of Attention Level, Importance Of Task And Emotion Valence On Prospective Memory

Selecting128college students of Henan University in grade2and grade3as the subjects, theresearch explores the effect of attention level, importance of task and emotion valence on prospectivememory, which adopts dual task paradigm in the laboratory.The research includes two parts, the first research explores the effect of attention level, importance oftask and emotion valence on event-based prospective memory; the second research explores the effect ofattention level, importance of task on time-based prospective memory.The results of two researches are as follows.(1) In event-based prospective memory, the accuracy rate and reaction time in focused attention isbetter, smaller than divided attention. The accuracy rate in important prospective memory task is better thannon-important prospective memory, the reaction time in important prospective memory task in whichpositive words are as the target cues is smaller than non-important prospective memory. The accuracy ateand the reaction time in which positive words are the target cues is better, bigger than negative words are asthe target cues.(2) In time-based prospective memory, the accuracy rate and reaction time in focused attention isbetter, smaller than divided attention. The accuracy rate in important prospective memory task is better thannon-important prospective memory.(3) In the same attention level and importance of task condition, the accuracy rate in event-basedprospective memory is better than time-based prospective memory, the reaction time in event-basedprospective memory is smaller than time-based prospective memory.
