In contemporary society, cultural has more and more great influence in thevarious areas of social life, and played the increasingly important role. It is notonly expression of human nature awareness, but also a key to explain humanevents. In particular on the background of accelerating globalization process andincreasingly cultural exchange, along with the rise of great powers, theenhancement of cultural self-consciousness, and fast growing narrative about"re-nationalization" of Chinese society, the national culture became rather favoredwith its unique aesthetic value and functional significance, and became the coreresources of the local social economic development and the national identityidentifying. More and more Nations spaces for development in the world culturalorder, not only because the local cultural characteristics is the "soft power" ofpromoting the development of local socio-economy, politics and culture, but alsoan important benchmark of national identity construction and identity. Uniquelocal culture has become the foothold and development foundation of the variousethnic groups in contemporary society.Based on this, it comes forth a series of interesting phenomena called"national cultural symbols" in the eyeshot of the Guangxi regional ethnic cultural.Zhuang culture of folk songs, Coppery drums, Zhuang brocade, Embroidered ball,Blooming-hill murals and other elements are coming to trend of the local culturalrenaissance on the background of Guangxi "re-nationalization" narrative, whichappeared by a large number of patterns, sculptures, stage props, and other symbolicforms, is a token the of strong ethnic character and a deep sense of history in the public space and great occasions, and has increasingly become the representativeof the national cultural symbols of the Guangxi region. The symbolizing ofNational cultural is the diversion and transformation of traditional national culturein contemporary social life, and the inheritance and invention of tradition. Throughthe symbolic expression of national culture, Zhuang people achieved regenerationand recognition of national culture, and created the poetic habitat of culturalecology space in the contemporary world cultural order. As one of the importanttraditional cultural elements in Guangxi and with a rich cultural connotations,Embroidered ball is also highlighting the trend the revival of local culture inGuangxi. With a rich cultural heritage and multiple functional significance,Embroidered ball woven itself into the Guangxi regional representative of thesymbols of national culture step by step, although deviated from the traditionalcontext and slowly faded from the native form, it remolded by contemporarycontext under the influence of traditional culture. As a process of national culturalsymbol of the Guangxi region and the modern construction, Embroidered ball isthe Guangxi people weaving the net of their own localization practice of symbolicmeaning, national cultural identity construction and recognition demands. Thisprocess reflects the conscious of the national culture of the Guangxi region,whichis an expanding of modern localization.Therefore, this article beginning with a micro study, through cases of study inthe extensive use of embroidered balls in the contemporary vision of the Guangxiregional national culture, using theory of aesthetics, anthropology, art, culture,science and other multi-disciplinary, by the combination of fields research andliterature data, based on the historical origins, born ethnic environment andmulti-cultural connotation of Embroidered balls, focusing on a large number ofsymbols use of embroidered balls in contemporary Guangxi regional, presentingthe Embroidered balls changes from the traditional to the contemporary,emphasized on review about Embroidered ball’s cleverly transformation of theancient Zhuang cultural tradition, and new vitality in the contemporary context inthe form of cultural symbols, in order to regenerate and strengthen this new formof national culture, and then explore the construction and recognition of nationalcultural identity in contemporary society.
