The Philological Studies Of Qi Ye In Tsinghua Bamboo Slips

In July2008, Tsinghua university obtained a collection of bamboo slips of the Warring States period. Their content including confucian classics,historical records and so on,the most of them are not found before.They have a very high academic value.Qi Ye is one of these bamboo slips,this article mostly record the ceremony oc’Drinking on Arrival"after victory to suppress Li in the eighth year of Emperor Wuwang, at the banquet, the Emperor Wuwang and the ones who made contributions in the war urged to drink each other and composed some poems.This thesis has three chapters.The first chapter:On the basis of the predecessor’s research,I afresh verify and explain the words of Qi Ye,so as to make a correct comprehension of this article.In the second chapter,I will focus on the era of this article.First,we compare the words of Qi Ye with oracle, inscriptions on bronze and bamboo text that have certain era,to infer the era of this article.Second,we will compare the poems in Qi Ye with the Book of Songs,because the Book of Songs have certain era,so we can infer the era of this article.Third,by studying the development history of the verse,and compare this with Qi Ye’s verse to determine the era of this article.From the above analyses,we can roughly determine the era of Qi Ye.It was produced at the era from the late period of the Western Zhou Dynasty to the earlier stage of the Spring and Autumn Period. The third chapter:In this part,we will study "XiBo suppressing the principality of Li",This problem is rather complex. Actually,there were three principality of Li during the late Shang Dynasty and The Zhou Dynasty.The first "Li" was The Shang Dynasty’s vassal state,it was in the southwest of ChangZhi in ShanXi province;The second "Li" belonged to Bigong’s offspring,it was enfeoffed by emperor Wuwang,it was the Zhou Dynasty’s vassal state,and it was in LiCheng in ShanXi province;The third "Li" was LiYang in XunXian in HeNan province.lt was Lihou’s temporary residence who was expelled by DiRen during the Spring and Autumn Period.The first "Li" is just the one that defeated by XiBo,and this XiBo is the emperor Wuwang.
