Research On Polysyllabic Words On Tsinghua Bamboo Slips (1~4)

The development of Chinese vocabulary has gone through a long process from the monosyllabic words to the disyllabic words,which is determined by the nature of the language,the social attribute.During the spring and autumn period and the warring states period,as an important formative period of Chinese lexicalization,it has always been a important priority in the study of Chinese word history.In recent years,more and more abundance,intact the unearthed of underground literature,is moving into a 21 st century era of "silk and bamboo slips",can be used to research corpus has extensive vocabulary,reveal a wide research prospects.Compared with the traditional classics handed down from ancient times,the excavated documents are often less affected by the disaster,war,political factors.Being the original data,therefore,the excavated documents can more truly reflect the face of the written language in that period.Tsinghua bamboo slips,which are best preserved and also in the maximum quantity,enshrined from Hongkong to Tsinghua University.According to the author,there are 21 articles,435 bamboo slips 208 disyllabic words in Tsinghua bamboo slips 1 ~ 4(recurring calculated only once),involving the sacrifice,military,culture,politics,music and so on,which could make a great difference for our understanding of the development of Chinese vocabulary during the warring states period.In this paper,208 polysyllabic words from Tsinghua university(1 ~ 4)are studied in five parts.The first part discussed about the criteria to judge polysyllabic word,on the basis of fully absorb the research achievements of predecessors.The second part is the main part of the paper,which makes a quantitative research and a structure type about polysyllabic words in Tsinghua bamboo slips according to many different parts.The third part,which makes an innovation,reveals the truth that every new word is produced by the internal form of the word through the analysis of the internal form of the word of Tsinghua bamboo slips(1 ~ 4)and its relationship with the original meaning.Making the study can deeply explore the changes in meanings and vocabulary development in semantic evolution.The fourth part of the paper explained the glossary of polysyllabic words in Tsinghua bamboo slips.The representative polysyllabic words in Tsinghua bamboo slips(1 ~ 4)are selected for interpretation.The fifth part is the additional correction for Chinese Big Dictionary,which reflects the unique value of Tsinghua bamboo slips.Showing the unique value from three perspectives like supplementary terms,supplementary use cases and supplementary terms.
