Chinese Interjections And Modal Particles And The Corresponding Relationship Between Them

This paper conducted a qualified and quantified investigation of Chinese modal particles and interjections in the corpus comprehensively from the point view of descriptive grammar, theories of cognitive linguistics under the principle of combination of description and explanation, form and meaning. The corresponding relationship between Chinese modal particles and interjections is presented as the research result in the paper which contains five parts:The first part introduction: Firstly, the definition of Chinese modal particles and interjections are defined. Secondly, the previous studies on the corresponding relationship between Chinese modal particles and interjections are reviewed and it found that some problems concerning the research content are obvious. Thirdly, to clearly define the values of this research as well as present the relative theories, research methods and corpus of this paper.The second part Chinese interjections:Firstly, the interjections in the corpus are investigated in terms of position. Secondly, the researches on the old Chinese phonology of interjections are conducted to analyze the phonological characteristics of the interjections. Thirdly, classifying and abstracting the types of interjections are conducted.The third part Chinese modal particles:firstly, the Chinese modal particles in the corpus are investigated and the types of the typical modal particles are classified. Secondly, the researches on the old Chinese phonology of Chinese modal particles are conducted to analyze the phonological characteristics of the Chinese modal particles. Thirdly, classifying and abstracting the types of Chinese modal particles are conducted.The forth part the corresponding relationship between Chinese interjections and Chinese modal particles is studied. Based on the study result of the emotional correspondence between the interjections and Chinese modal particles in the relational modal of interjections and the explanation forms of exclamation contents, it found that the interjection-the object of correspondence and the last Chinese modal particle are the same; the correspondence element is the emotional expression of interjection and the tone of modal particles; the basis of the correspondence is the emotional expression of the interjection; the correspondence of interjection and the correspondence between modal particles are the same or relevant. The same correspondence is that the emotional expression of interjection and modal particles are the same. The relevant correspondence is that the emotional expression of interjection and modal particles are relevant. Then according to the investigation of the correspondence relationship between the interjections and Chinese modal particles in written classical Chinese, it finds that the relevant modal of explanative content of interjection and Chinese modal particle have has a long existence and the frequency of corresponding relationship between interjections and Chinese modal particles is high.The five part conclusion:the summaries about the research contents and result are made and the deficiencies of the paper are presented to make it helpful for the further study.
