Yu Dafu’s literary theory occupy a certain position in the history of the literary trendsof the May Fourth period. He was influenced by "natural disposition" and” independence ofShu Ling”in Chinese Ancient Literature,and showed dedication to the pursuit of sincereemotion in the article. By combing its emotionalism concept, this article will help us topromote in-depth study of modern literary theory better.The full text is divided into four chapters. The first chapter traces the evolutionaryprocess from the Wei, Jin, Ming and Qing dynasty to the May Fourth period, discussing thebackground and the formation of Yu Dafu emotional concept. The second chapteranalysises specificly the theoretical connotation of Yu Dafu’s emotionalism concept in hisarticle. Yu Dafu did not abandon the emotional concept of the ancient Chinese ethical andnatural areas, but pursuit persistently the "true love" and "natural disposition", and he putthis reality of emotion into the trend of the times, showing the country of his pure heart.This is also the innovation of Yu Dafu’s emotionalism concept. The third chapter mainlyexpressed the performance of YuDafu’s emotionalism concept in its literature. Yu Dafu isfamous for his long novels, his thinking of literary theory mixed in the works of creationand exhibition of self-emotional, straightforwardly showed his soul, all of this manifestedhis pursuit of the truth; description of natural intends, his looking forward to the nature ofhumans, showed his spirit-natural disposition. The fourth chapter discusses the change ofYu Dafu’s emotionalism concept. Yu Dafu’s literary theory of the pre-and post-ideological,despite the changes, but did not constitute a qualitative change, and the "feeling"alwaysrunning through them.
