The Disease Narrative And Literary Therapy In Yu Dafu's Novels

Yu Dafu's works have been called "the Anatomy of Youth Depression" since ?(Sinking?.In Yu Dafu's works,a number of characters with diseases appear frequently,such as the Yu Zhifu,Mr.Y,Huang Zhongze,etc.,who are deeply rooted among the people,Either they are physically uncomfortable,or suffering from mental. illness,or suffering from psychological problems,but no matter what kind of disease it is,to a certain extent,all brought pain and suffering to the sufferer.Yu Dafu's own life is also fulled with many diseases,he suffered from gastrointestinal disease from the beginning of birth,and also failed to get rid of depression,insomnia,lung disease,until adulthood.Through the analysis of Yu Dafu's life experience,psychological factors and aesthetic pursuit,it can be seen that Yu Daftu regards disease as an important creative theme.Besides the aesthetic significance of literature,his novels also have the significance of self-treatment and rescuing others.In addition, "Treatment"is one of the functions of literature,by analyzing the narrative of diseases in Yu Dafu's novels,we can see the role of Literary Therapy in his creation and in the treatment of readers.The first part of this paper is the introduction,which gives a brief description of Yu Dafu's creative achievements,and summarizes his predecessors'critical experience,pointing out the significance of disease narration in Yu Dafu's novels from the perspective of literary therapy.The second part mainly analyses the narrative of disease in Yu Dafu's works,collates the works related to disease writing in Yu Dafu's novels,makes a brief classification and elaborates,and explores the reasons why literature therapy is suitable for Yu Dafu's narrative novels of disease.The third part is the focus of this article.It aims to analyze how Yu Dafu achieved literary therapeutic effect through disease narrative from different perspectives.The main contents include:autobiographical narrative and self-confirmation,emotional structure in disease narrative,resistance to inferiority complex,alleviating self-blame through externalized dialogue and so on.The fourth part mainly discusses from two aspects:one is to compare the contents of Yu Dafu's novels about disease narrative in different times,to explore the good guiding role of disease narrative in Yu Dafu's own life,and to explore the therapeutic role played by Yu Dafu's novels to the readers;the other is to discuss Yu Dafu's novels through literature.To achieve good therapeutic effect,combined with the current situation,the author looks forward to the significance of disease narrative and Literary Therapy in future creation.
