Students’ group in the20th century was a “new thing” in China. As one of Chinesesocial and political activities, students’ group is vibrant and plasticity. It has been thepower of social and political forces trying to grasp and influence. From the early years ofRepublic of China, you can see the clues. In that complex historical process, one of theintermediaries of literatures as a student of social and political interaction, both thestudents and social society showed that a group of students had social impacts. At the sametime, this process also showed the impact of the complexity of the profound literary.Between the students and society, the first student image of the pedigree constructed, witha long and profound influence on later literature.This thesis researches《The Student’ Magazine》（1914-1919）(six volumes of66) asa whole, putting narration and exposition in the texts into one large text.The authorobserves the images of students, including the calling images (on the construction of theideal student image), the criticism of the bad images of students (for negative images ofstudents excluded), the narrative of shaping positive student images and negative images ofstudents (the most direct imagination of the students’ methods), try to perspective thevariety of images of students, examine students’ rise in social occasion, observecontradictory relationship between individual subject and history, discuss on the moderntransition of Chinese students’ subjective spirit construction and its inherent problems.
