A Study On The Phoneme Of Xiaochi Huangmei Dialect

Xiaochi dialect,a subdialect of Huangmei,it’s phonetic system ischaracteritic.After analyzising a survey of local people’ phonetic feature from astatic perspective,this thesis depicts the phonetic system of Xiaochi dialect in detail，and generalizes the traits of its sound and tone.The development of its speech soundwill be explored，and development laws will be summarized.Adopting a comparisonmethod from both synchronic and diachronic aspects，this thesis describs Xiaochidialect’s phonetic feature and its development laws.In the process of comparison，allkinds of evolutive vocabularies are listed.From synchronic description，the system ofsound and tone of Xiaochi dialect is depicted，and its phonetic feature is illustrated,bycomparing it with the phonetic system of Putonghua.From diachronic description,thephonetic system of Xiaochi dialect is compared with the Guangyun phoneticsystem.This thesis is developed into four parts:1.Preface.The geographical and historical conditions in Xiaochi area and itsspeakers are introduced.2.The phonetic system of Xiaochi dialect.The sound and tone system of Xiaochidialect and its traits are discussed.Change of tone.3.The comparison of the phonetic system of Guangyun and the phonetic systemof Xiaochi dialect.According to the comparison，the laws of development the phoneticsystem from middle ancient Chinese phonology to Xiaochi dialect will be discovered.4. The comparison of the phonetic system of Putonghua and of that of Xiaochidialect.After the comparison，the similarities and differences between them will bediscovered.
