The Research On "New Europe Classical-style" Furniture Design

European classical furniture has the unique charm, so it was that many consumers like. However, in modern society, the traditional classical furniture started to adapt to the modern way of life has changed, for example, changing the decorative patterns and using of modern industrial materials and processing technology and so on. I have done the research for this phenomenon, some results obtained are as follows:Firstly, European classical furniture left people with a rich cultural heritage. However, in modern society, appearance and decorative style of the European classical furniture, has occured with era characteristics change.Accordingly, puting forward a new expression which is "’New Europe Classical-style’ Furniture" that it means those furniture products designed use of the European classical furniture art style elements including cultural feature, feature modeling and decorative patterns etc. in contemporary society.Secondly,"New Europe Classical-style" Furniture base on European classical furniture. Therefore, in order to design excellent "new Europe classical-style" furniture works, it is necessary to understanding of the European classical art and culture, and extract the cultural elements.Thirdly, European classical furniture through the different stages of development, different styles have different expression methods of modeling, decoration and color design. Moreover, there is a link among various styles, these styles through inheritance and typical together. Therefore, it is necessary according to the summarized form factors in order to build a rich database for "new Europe classical-style" furniture design.The last, on the basic of cultural elements and form factors, there are numbers of effective design methods can be developed. These methods can be used effectively in the design process and help to achieve the design goal.
