Current study is based on self- determination theory, and the aim of the study isexploring the Influence of Goal Contents and Motivation Regulation on Creativity. At the same time,we use the innate physiological needs to explain these influences and we also integrated these factorsinto a model which aimed to find the mechanism of the influence.First, 349 college students form Jinan and Weifang Shandong province were collected. We usedtranslated aspiration index, motivation regulation questionnaire and the innate psychology needsquestionnaire tested participants. Then, we used exploratory factor analysis to explore the structure ofthese questionnaires. All the modified questionnaires are having good reliability and validity.275 college students are collected for the formal study. Study one using questionnaire tested theirlife goal, motivation regulation and innate psychological needs. And we also induced goal framing byexperience method. The mechanism of these influence are also exploded. Study two using experimentmethod to explore the goal contents framing effect and the match perspective. The result are as follows:(1)intrinsic goal orientation positively predict creativity (for creativethinking ,△R~2=0.07, p<0.01; for creative product,△R~2=0.05, p<0.01).(2)autonomy motivationpositively predict creativity (for creative thinking ,△R~2=0.06, p<0.01; for creative product,△R~2=0.05, p<0.01). Control motivation has no significant influence on creative thinking and creativeproducts. There is an interactive effect on the influence of autonomy motivation on creativity. Namely, on the condition of high control motivation, autonomy motivation has no significant influence oncreative thinking; on the condition of low control motivation, autonomy motivation has significantinfluence on creative thinking; (3) the acquired of innate psychology needs can positively predictcreativity thinking and creative product; (4) Autonomy motivation plays partial mediate effect on theinfluence of intrinsic goal orientation on college students’ creative thinking and creative products(explains 29% variances for creative thinking; explains 28% variances for creative products). Innatepsychology needs plays full mediate effect on the influence of intrinsic goal orientation on collegestudents’ creativity(explains 50% variances for creative thinking; explains 48% variances for creativeproducts). (5) under the condition of growth goal framing, individuals’ creative products performancesare better than that of others; under the condition of fanatical goal framing, individuals’ creativeproducts performances are lower than that of others.
