This thesis concentrates mainly on poems which depiecit a general picture of Buddisttemple in Nan dynasty. The literary value and Buddist value of the poems are the emphasisesof this article. What is more , the architectural value that the poems casually displays is also avery important subject in this article . The development of Buddism which has a profoundinfluence on Nan dynasty’s talented poets and their poem writing is a topic to discuss in thisarticle too.This article can be divided into six chapters . First , the Introduction part describes thereason for choosing this topic . From this section , you can also gain a general perspectivethat this topic still needs more research, there are still a lot of problems remain unsolved . Thefirst chapter discusses the good opportunities then for Buddism to cherish . The secondchapter is mainly about the great development of Buddism and its three important influenceson current poets’mentaliy . The third chapter is a detail description on Nan dynasty’stemple . With so many temples everywhere , a temple complex appear . This article alsoexplores the intrinsic and extrinsic reasons the complex arise . The fourth chapter and thefifth chapter is the core of this article. They focus on poems no matter it is written by buddistswho lives in a temple or temporal poets . The forth chapter is about all kinds of poems writtenby buddists . The fifth chapter is the core of the core . It describes temple poems in Nandynasty written by both buddists and literatis. Some great writers like Xie Lingyun , XiaoYan , Wang Rong, Jiang Zong and a buddist who is called Hong Yan priest are listedspeciallyfor their masterpiece on temple poems . The sixth chapter goes back to temples in poems .This chapter describes the conation of poems on buddist temples . At the end of the article ,the style of temple poems is summed up as pure ,quiet and optimistic . And that is exactlywhere the charm lies .
