The early 1980s of the last century, Su Tong walked into the halls of literature,opened up the journey of his life. From the young’s uninhibited to the full ofcompassion of the middle-aged, Su Tong interpreted his understanding andperception for the life, humanity, the existence in writing. From the previousapproximate intoxication-like emotions mixed with cynical and childish tone, tothe gradually smudged compassion and indifferent of the late; from the previoustendency to metaphorical writing and ignore the day-to-day experience, to theinquiry of the reality in the late; his resolute writing mixed with memories ofthe young, and he build a seat of the fable of the temples. When the temples’close and confine made Su Tong feel suffocated, he gradually got out of the trackof imagination and adventure, and began the journey of life experience. In thisjourney, Su Tong has always been focused on humanity’s thinking. His way ofthinking was not nothing attached, but threw humanity into a unique living space,and revealed human nature’s complex meaning from different aspects. Then, Su Tongdescribed the survival space into the survival of difficulties, which can’t beescaped. In times of hardship, life staged scenes beginning without the end.Difficult to escape the survival of difficulties, Su Tong inadvertently operated,but bit by bit, had built the siege of survival. From the spiritual world of theliving entities and the external environment of the two dimensions,Su Tongcynically unfolded the plight of the survival in his novel:the survival ofindividuals suffered the embarrassment of the identity, humming the sad lonely,knee-deep in the sexual morass, wandering in impermanence and the fate of the trap;between the individual and by, the real encountered barrier, the poetic wasfrustrate absent, evil diffused apathetically; between men and women, in thecampaign, who will be the last dancer? People in times of hardship, how will? Affection, love?Humanity will experience what kind of test? Su Tong is writing the survival ofthe hardships, but his real concern in this context is always good and evil ofhuman nature. He has abandoned the humanity in reality, and at the same time thrownthe humanity in the space of a non-Reality in a extreme and stubborn manner. Inthe wandering of reality and non reality, we even suspect that the people can savethemselves? But after a series of adventure, Su Tong seems to be slowly getting back the raison for being, the power of redemption, and understand the value oflife. His worked hard to walk along the root of reality to touch the temperatureof life; he saw the tears and the warmth of the underlying also saw the oncevulnerable roots of self-redemption. From the carnival to the calm, perhaps lessarbitrary flow of passion, perhaps less persistent questioning of depth, or maybeless piercing scream from the fate of, he has a sincere heart for one to experiencelife, and uses the calm but full of tension stroke to explore the road out of thewoods.Su Tong has unfolded the mentality of himself secretly in front of us by meansof the construction and the exceeding of survival of the plight. Furthermore, thewriting of survival of the plight also reflects the characteristics of highlypersonalized art. He scattered terrorist elements as a pawn-like everywhere inthe article. From the creation of the mystical atmosphere, the cut of theperspective and psychological, the sophisticated suspense, the wandering soul,and the setting up of the secretive space five levels, the article touched thereaders’tension nerve from time to time. Meanwhile the revelry Narrative combinedwith the terrorist, which was unfolded from the figure of the carnival, the carnivalscene, carnival language three levels, and made enough space for the screamingof the soul. With the mutual penetration of the terror and the carnival, the novelsnot only highlight the plight of survival in art, but also give us the unique readingexperience.
