Social comparison is that when the individual cannot be obtained accurate social evaluation about self, but obtained understanding and evaluation on self by comparison to others, according to the information of comparison.Subjective well-being is the overall evaluation of life, according to individual standard. Subjective well-being is a subjective attitude, which is closely related to individual comparison standards, at present, the perspective is absent from social comparison about the College Students’ subjective well-being, the relationship is studied mostly by investigation method.we try to research by experiment method. The subject factor is the most important factor on subjective well-being, while the self-esteem is the same to subject factor. So we try to combine self-esteem, social comparison orientation, social comparison type together in order to study subjective well-being.The research is divided into three parts, the first part:experimental material revision. We issued100experimental materials in Zhengzhou University by convenient sample method in order to verify and modify the experimental material. The second part:the choice of subjects.400self-esteem questionnaires were sent out in Zhengzhou University, Henan Normal University, He nan Institute of Education. taking the first27%as high self-esteem participants, after27%as low self-esteem participants. The third Part:the empirical part. The subject finally make self assessment on the basis of experimental instruction using the between subjects design method.Comprehensive experimental results, as follows:(1) Social comparison has significant difference on the subjective well-being.(2) The level of self-esteem has notable effect on subjective well-being, High self-esteem individuals’subjective well-being is high than low self-esteem level.(3) Interaction is existed between social comparison orientation, type, and self-esteem. At high levels of self-esteem, there is no significant difference on type of social comparision; but low self-esteem, the happiness of implicit downward comparison is better than explicit downward comparision; the happiness of explicit downward comparision is better than upstream external’s; Uplink explicit happiness is greater than the up-link implicit sense of happiness.
