They purified spiritual essence and use a kindof purified language and pure colors to pay more attention to the spiritual sublimation. The"monochrome phenomenon”involves many categories, Artists using all forms of art to createmonochrome field exploration, The so called“monochrome phenomenon”in contemporary oilpainting involves a variety of present styles ,which as Abstract , Ralism,Performance,Freehand ,and so on.In the media cultual context, the contemporary"monochrome" phenomenon is also integrated into the image, popularity and many otherelements. The" monochrome" phenomenon in the history of color between China and Westernare closely linked, and it at the same time inherited and developed the history of the symbolicmeaning of color monochrome. With the rapid development of economics and politics in theworld, which the" monochrome" phenomenon presents, is the artists’s attempts to explore thespiritual world of the substaintial demand through the pure color.It also revealed theexperience people experiensed on the past ,reflected people’s memory of past, and showedtheir pursuit of the original simple beauty too. They use“subtraction" way of thinking todesign picture, gave the work a special symbol language and symbolic meaning. Based on theform of case analysis, practical investigation, this paper is to study the development and originof the monochromatic phenomenon. Through the works of artists, which often appear inseveral representative of the monochrome, we can learn the symbol meaning of the viewer andand the psychological effects to artistst themselves. In the course of history, artists in differentperiods have been using" monochrome"not only to convey emotion, to performanse theconcept of themselves, but also convey a historical sincerity. With the input of schema,reproduction, public, communication and many elements , the performance style ofcontemporary art becomes more concise, brief, and win support among the people at the sametime. And with my graduation creation, I show my own expression as a contemporary memberof the community, whether society gives me a lot of gifts, or I try to give the society feedback,are common and individual respectively.With my own way of painting, I express the infinitionof my inner world. Contemporary monochrome painting had a profound influence on me，and Ibelieve that single color appeals more strongly than multiple colors in the creation of works. In this paper ,I summed up the " monochrome" painting with the aesthetic of simplicity, spiritualsymbol, and on the performance of the era, its personality is associated with a certaincharacteristics of the age too. The monochrome which shows as an universal phenomenon,indicates that artists today is more independent and more freedom in art creation ,and showalienation in the front of the form of traditional thought at the same time. " Monochrome" asthe main tone is not only plays a role in the research of contemporary oil painting creation , butalso inspires the artists’direction of creation,so that makes the works show new looks,andmakes" Monochrome" phenomenon provide a new perspective and new research field in thecreation of contemporary oil painting at the same time.
