The dramatic art, which developed to modern times, has presented complex and diverse forms. It contains not only traditional Chinese opera like Beijing Opera, Kunqu, local opera which were inherited and improved on the stage, but also the new forms of stage performance which were created at the same time. These dramatic organizations----theatrical company, including traditional theatrical troupe and drama club,take different ways of management to adapt to changing times and to seek survival and development, and continuously promote the progress and improvement of theatre arts. Drama theatre,considered as the site of different theatrical troupes, Improves theatre facility, changes management strategy, provides services to thedramatic troupe and the drama club groups optimizes performance,promotes modern drama boom together with the theatrical companys to keep pace with the time.Drama as a kind of comprehensive art and cultural industry, requires scientific management for its performance and operation,especially in a historic stage characterized by change and turbulence, in which traditional culture mingle and crash with each other. In this circumstance,the autonomous management history and development situation of the main part of the drama performance----the traditional professional theatrical company,new drama club and the opera house theatre are worth exploration, In order to obtain experience and lessons of autonomous management of modern drama and provide correspondent references and appropriation to Chinese drama art.First of all, the autonomy of management shows that the main part or the performance above is an unofficial commercial drama organization,has independent operation and property rights.Second,it means that the discussion does not involve the management of the government organization on the drama, but the corresponding research of the internal management of drama organization.The modern professional troupe,with a long history of formation and development, has formed a stable and orderly structural model. Management personnel, the configuration of the performers on stage and the Statute, the balance of payments financial management can be described as self-contained, rational and effective. Its management nature was that the Stage Manager (the boss) responsible for all, with personal contribution to group classes, forming a management team led by the leader of the classes. They cultivated’actors, rehearsed theatrical programme according toactor-related system and employed unique performance to win the audience as well as the economic return. The effective operation of the modern professional troupe pushed the the traditional Chinese opera (especially opera)perfomance art to the peak.Drama Club as a rising star at that time, utilized a new theatrical form to publicize current events and enlighten the people, which could be described as turbulent on that historic turning point.Easy come, easy go,it occured many premature problems in management, such as, the organization was loose, lacking restriction to its members and a sense of the market, not economic efficiency and social benefits.However its pioneering contributionis worthy of recognition, and the experiences as well as lessons are worthy of reflection and absorption. Compared to the traditional professional troupe, the management of the new Drama Club added some new elements,that is the transformation of the organizers by the class teacher or boss to the president or manager and the occurence of written rules,which contributed to more democratic, equal and close relationship between casts and crews.Theatre, the land of the social classes of drama, whether the park teahouse in earlier times or the new theater later, renewed its facilities on stage and performance relationship from time to time,changed its management approaches and facilitated the plan. The teahouse and the new theater of the Opera House was two different venues originally, but both of them can be called theater. The theater management mainly includes facilities management, people management, business management and financial management. There are two management purposes on them:First, to deal with the business relationship on troupe (Drama Club); second, to provide viewers with a comfort and convenience art consumer sites,thus providing huge commercial profits and promoting the dissemination of Dramatic Art effectively as well. The new theater cleared up the customs of the traditional commercial theatrical venues, changed some of the facilities in the theater, made a new division of labor on the management of the theater. The management of Theater troupe (Drama Club) was very clear, every member took their roles respectively. Among them advertising played a significant and indispensable role.In modern times, the transition of the tradition professional theatrical troupe to the new Drama Club,or the Opera teahouse to the new theater, neither of them are alternative relationship, but the coexistence relationship, the latter was born later,however,these dramatic theatrical organizations competed for high ground in the dramatic cultural market, pursuited maximum benefits, achieved results and survivaland the development of space respectively,which made great contributions to the development of Chinese modern drama.
