Chinese animation films along the road of creation by Wan Brothers pioneered, not only experienced the "Chinese School" type of brilliant, but also experienced a downturn and embarrassment. Today’s Chinese animation films creation gradually recovering, but is still struggling to survive in the middle of Japan and the United States, both of which are anime powers.The Japanese animation and Chinese cartoon started almost at the same time, in the process of development, with the creation of each generation of talents to strive and exploration, making the Japanese become the true anime powers, welcomed by the audience of all ages around the world. This paper attempts to compare the Sino-Japanese animation films creation, dig out the features and advantages of the Chinese animation films, find out the suitable way of our own, path to a new way.This paper is divided into two parts, the introduction and body.The introduction is from development status of the Sino-Japanese animation films, analyzing the research background of this topic, combining the theoretical results of the Sino-Japanese animation films’research,and pointing out the purpose and significance of this topic.The body is the core part of this paper, divided into four chapters. The first chapter is from two aspects of materials contents and forms to analyze the two countries animation films creation tradition, points out that the Chinese animation films based on the local culture, various of forms show the ethnic characteristics; while the Japanese animation is brought to coexist with native to exert the national specialty.The second chapter select the theme of growth, love and reality in Chinese and Japanese animation films as the research objects, analyzing the two nations animation films creation in ideological theme of the similarities and differences, pointing out that the two nations have different concept in their animation films’creation:China mainly creative view of educate result in animation theme is onefold and lack of resonance;while under the guidance of Hayao Miyazaki, Japanese animation films are full of humanistic thoughts, accord with human common values.The third chapter begin with the features and functions of animation images,select representative animation images:hero images, children images and gods images between the two nations as the research object, in order to analyze the two countries in the animation image differences, and then sums up the excellent animation images should have following characteristics:the true human nature, the aesthetic change with age, and the modeling to show the ethnic cultural characteristics.The fourth chapter is the last section and summarizes part, summarize the existing problems in Chinese animation films,and then point out that the Chinese animation films creation need to learn from the Japanese animation film creation aspects, and finally concluded that:Chinese animation film creators, only to open the horizons, to get rid of the concept of the inherent bondage, to develop ideas, can they create better animation films and explore the suitable way for Chinese animation films development.
