The Modern Writer’s Expression On Beijing Imagination And Experience

In the modern literary history of China, a large number of writers have written about Beijing in different kinds. A lot of classic works full of colors and splendor together composed different feature and deep connotation of Beijing, a city in the world’s literature. It mainly shows up in two ways:first, it is the new image of literary Beijing formed by the modern writer; it is the connection of modern writer’s literary imagination and cultural expression; it has the complex city image which shows the difference between traditional culture and modern experience, even the conflicts and syncretism in the course of formation of modern China. Second, the writer shows the deep thought of Beijing culture human life and the effect of exist by the writing of Beijing.The main part of my paper is divided into three chapters. The first chapters focus on the analysis of modern writers how they apply their daily life experience to sculpture the image of Beijing. At the same time, The chapter want to point out how the past works impact modern writers’description of Beijing. The second chapter shows the Complexity and diversity of Beijing image by modern writers. The third chapter discusses modern Writers reflected two different kinds of spiritual direction, which is a symbol of traditional Chinese and modern Chinese culture in transition characterization. Modern writers have a clear understanding of advantages and disadvantages of the traditional Chinese culture. They keep their doubts and fears on the decline of old Beijing under the context of modernity.In short, based on finding out the modern writer’s Beijing imagination and their experience, my paper aims at exploring the modern writer’s relations with Beijing, and their awareness and understanding of Beijing’s. it is beneficial for us to make a whole thinking of Beijing images in the literature works. Taking advantage of Beijing images in the literature works, we could glimpse into the occurrence and development of modern literature in modern China. We could find out writers’concussion and their spirit pain when they are traveling traditional and modern. What we have thought will benefit re-understanding and rewriting the history of literature.
