| Workplace mobbing involves employees’“gang up†on a target employee and subjecting him or her topsychological harassments. Studying "Workplace Mobbing Behaviors" helps the development of healthyorganization. Recently, it has become the focus of studies of work and health psychology.The purposes of this dissertation were to investigate the contents of workplace mobbing behaviors aswell as to study the consequences of workplace mobbing behaviors in china. For these purposes, somestandard research method, such as literature review, interview and survey were used in this research. Inaddition, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation modeling, correlationanalysis and hierarchical regression analysis were also applied for date analysis. The main conclusions areas the following:Firstly, the content of workplace mobbing behaviors consisted of two factors, which included socialisolation, personal attack. The reliability and validity of workplace mobbing behaviors questionnaire werehighly enough.Secondly, the research discussed about the demographical variable’s effects on workplace mobbingbehaviors. The demographical variable included sex, marital status, age, working age and cultural level. Wefound that the demographical variable except sex and age had some significant effects on some dimensionsof workplace mobbing behaviors.Thirdly, the research discussed the relationship between workplace mobbing and its consequences. Itwas discovered that "social isolation" was positively correlated with emotional exhaustion and negativelycorrelated with work satisfaction “personal attack†was positively correlated with emotional exhaustion andnegatively correlated with work satisfaction. Fourthly, the research discussed the mediate effects of emotional exhaustion by hierarchical regressionanalysis. We found that emotional exhaustion was the fully mediate variable in the relationship between"social isolation" and work satisfaction, Emotional exhaustion was the partly mediate variable in therelationship between "personal attack" and work satisfaction.Current limitations and future research orientation were also discussed at the end of the dissertation. |
