Since video games have moreinto people’s lives, researchers have payed high attention to the effect of violent video games onthe health of physical and psychological. College students are the major consumer groups of videogame products, but at present there are few study on the impact of violent video games on collegestudents. Therefore, this study is divided into two parts to explore the impact of violent videogames on aggressiveness. The first part is to study the influences of short-term exposure to violentvideo games on the Students’ attack, attack recognition, and attack emotional. The second part ofthe study is the long-term exposure impact on the students’ implicit offensive and explicitoffensive.Study1.96college students took part in the study. Using multi-factor experimental design, westudy the violent video games’ short-term impact on attack cognition, aggressive behavior andemotional.Study2.Using violent video games contact questionnaire,86severe and non-severe contactersware elected respectively from320colledge students. With violent television exposure as acovariate,we use covariance analysis method to explore differences between explicitaggressiveness and implicit aggressiveness of the two kinds of test,in order to study impact oflong-term exposure to violent video games on aggressive subjects. The results of this study are as follows:First, the students’ attack cognitive has been obviously influnced by the way they play thegame. Aggressive feelings of college students who are Short-term passive viewers of high violentvideo games have a significant priming effect.Second, the degree of violent of students who participate violent video games has a significant priming effect on their aggressive behavior. In addition, those who have passive viewing of violentvideo games have more significan aggressive behavior priming effect.Third, excluding the impact of television violence variables, the explicit aggression betweensevere and non-severe exposure of violent video games contacters has no significant difference. Also there is no significant differences between male and female.Fourth, excluding the impact of television violence variables, the extent of violence of thegame and the gender of the test have significant interaction on students’ implicit aggression.Fifth, the explicit aggression of women who participate severe violent video games wassignificantly higher than men who participate non-severe violent video game. But for mentesters, those who attend to severe violent video games have significantly higher implicitaggressiveness than who don’t.
