Study Of Attunements Theory In Tang And Song Dynasties

This paper draws the outline of the attunements theory development and evolution of Tang and Song dynasties, which is mainly based on the critical theory of the poem of Tang dynasty and the verse of Song dynasty.At the same time,the paper analyzes and summaries the characteristics of the attunements theory in this two periods. On that basis, the reason why attunements theory could be so prosperous will be explained.On the other hand, we can find its influence to later ages.In Tang dynasty, attunements theory is mainly reflected in two theories called" different externality but same connotation " and "three kinds of stealing", which are respectively put forward by Liu Zhiji and Jiao Ran. There are three characteristics of attunements theory in this period. Firstly, attunements of rhetoric centered on "history" and "poetry". Secondly, the level of comment still needs further promotion. Finally, Jiao Ran’s attitude toward "steal words"and"steal meaning" of " three kinds of stealing "theory is inappropriate.It is a prosperous period of attunements theory in Song dynasty. Attunements theory is complex in this period. We divide it into three categories. The first one is "HuanGu method" and "DuoTai method", which are proposed by Huang Tingjian." HuanGu method" and "DuoTai method" are two different ways.The former pay attention to the change of language while the later pays great attention to the semantic imitate. They were called together as "DuoTaiHuanGu method" in the Southern Song Dynasty. Yang Wanli take the imitation of the sentence structure as expansion of the content of "DuoTaiHuanGu method". The second one is "DianTieChengJin method", which is the new application of old words at first. Well, it was used together with "DuoTaiHuanGu method" in the later ages and then they were confused. The third one is "FanAn method", which consist of FanYU and FanYi. Attunements theory has two points in the time. One is that related scope is wide, that is poetry, word, article and other styles. The other one is the method of attunements covered all aspects of attunements method. The final one is that the vein of development is cle.After this,we argue why attunements prosperous in Tang and Song Dynasties through attunements theory.We can analysis it by two aspects.External causes is argued by the psychology of learning former, theory of revolution,the great appeal of attunements and so on.Attunements theory combining with memetic theory are used to analyze the inner reasons.In the final part of this paper, the attunements theory’s influence is discussed.
